Jan, Distinguished National Professor (Emeritus), University of Peshawar, and past President Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), obtained MS (Oregon) and PhD (London) degrees. He carried out extensive investigations of Creto-Tertiary island arc terrains in Kohistan Himalaya, Balochistan, and Neoproterozoic granitoids of Pakistan. His studies are related mostly to geodynamic and crust-building processes, especially in collisional mountain belts and intra-oceanic island arcs that became Andean-type margins, and chemical petrology of chromites in ophiolites and magmatic arcs. Jahiruddin (PhD, 1986, Aberdeen University) is a Professor of Soil Science, former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and former Associate Director of Central Laboratory at Bangladesh Agricultural University. Prof. Emerita Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail is a woman of many firsts. She was the first female Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and Universiti Sains Malaysia,the country’s first female Director-General of Higher Education, first female President of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the first woman to be the National Science Advisor to the country. She has a BSc (Biology) from the University of Nevada Reno (UNR), USA, M.A. (Microbiology) from Indiana University, USA and a Ph.D (Cellular and Molecular Biology) from UNR. She was also awarded Honorary Doctoral Degrees from the University of Glasgow, Keele University and Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS). She was elected to the Academy of Sciences Malaysia in 2003, The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) in 2010 and The Islamic World Academy of Sciences in 2016. Asma has 16 patents and commercialized world-wide the rapid diagnostic test for typhoid called TYPHIDOT. She received numerous awards including the National Academic Laureate, the most prestigious national award to a Malaysian academic in 2022.

Islam, an internationally reputed scientist in agrobiotechnology, has played a key role in establishing the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at BSMRAU, Bangladesh. He did PhD at Hokkaido University (HU), and postdoctoral research at the HU, University of Goettingen, University of Nottingham, and West Virginia University under the fellowship programs of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Alexander von Humboldt, Commonwealth, and Fulbright, respectively. Nancy Ip is currently the President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and is also The Morningside Professor of Life Science and the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience at HKUST. She received her PhD degree in Pharmacology from Harvard University, after which she held the position of Senior Staff Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. in New York. Since joining HKUST in 1993, she has served as the Vice-President for Research and Development, Dean of Science, Director of the Biotechnology Research Institute, and Head of the Department of Biochemistry. Ip is world-renowned for her significant contributions to the field of neuroscience. Her outstanding research has resulted in 328 scientific papers and 70 patents. She has been elected to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the US National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences, and received numerous awards and honors including the National Natural Science Awards, the L’OREAL-UNESCO for Women in Science Award and the 10 Science Stars of China by Nature.

Ideris, a renowned scientist in avian medicine, pioneered animal vaccines development in Malaysia. Her research interest is in avian respiratory and immunosuppressive diseases. She plays an instrumental role in advancing efforts towards food security and sustainable food production in developing countries. As a distinguished scientist, Ideris was elected to various fellowships, such as, Senior Fellow Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc), Fellow Islamic World Academy of Sciences (FIAS), Founding Fellow Malaysian College of Veterinary Specialists (FMCVS), Fellow Malaysian Scientific Association (FMSA), Fellow Malaysian Institute of Marketing (FMIM), and also elected as an Inaugural Member Hall of Honour, World Veterinary Poultry Association, for her contributions in scientific research and outstanding leadership. Ideris has won various national and international awards. She sits on various councils. She has a wealth of experience in administration as well as an educator. She was the eighth vice-chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (2016–2020) and is currently the pro-chancellor of the International Medical University Malaysia, since 2021.

Hutz graduated in biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1973 and obtained her PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from UFRGS in 1981. She was postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Pediatric Genetics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (1982-1983); professor at the Department of Genetics at UFRGS. She was vice-president and president of the Brazilian Society of Genetics. Hutz has more than 270 published articles and an ISI h-index of 40. Her research field and experience is in genetics, with emphasis on human and medical genetics. In 2010, she received the SCOPUS-Brazil award and her PhD students obtained the CAPES Thesis Award by the Brazilian Ministry of Education, and Honorable Mention of same award in 2011 in the area of biological sciences. She was appointed as a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in 2011. Hutz was honored at the 60th Brazilian Congress of Genetics for her relevant contribution to the field. Her research aims to the diversity of the human genome and its effects on susceptibility to multifactorial diseases, and pharmacogenomics mainly of psychiatric disorders and infectious diseases.

Hussain is Ghulamali Hirji professor and former head of department of microbiology, Aga Khan University (AKU) in Karachi, Pakistan and is Professor Emeritus at AKU. She obtained her BSc (hons.) in 1966, MSc (microbiology) in 1967 at Karachi University, PhD (immunology) at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 1973, Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologist (1997). Hussain is professor in the electrical engineering department at Kuwait University in Safat, Kuwait. He has done significant work in advancing the emerging technology, utrawide band impulse radar and radio communications, through basic design principles, and array beam forming and self-steering array antenna systems. In addition, he has also provided solutions to modified Maxwell equations for signals. He is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award and the Kuwait Prize for the Advancement of Science.

Hungria got her PhD in Agronomy (Soil Science) from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and held postdoctoral positions at the universities of Cornell, California-Davis (USA) and Seville (Spain). She has been a Researcher at Embrapa since 1982, at Embrapa Soja (Londrina) since 1991, and a Researcher of National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) since 1992. She is a Professor of microbiology and biotechnology at the University of Londrina, and supervised more than 100 MSc and PhD students. Her experience is in agronomy with emphasis on soil biotechnology: biological nitrogen fixation, biodiversity; taxonomy and phylogeny of prokaryotes, microbial ecology, soil microbiology, plant growth promoting bacteria; plant physiology; inoculant production; technologies of inoculation; omics sciences; microbial culture collections. She has over 500 refereed scientific articles, book chapters, books and technical publications. She launched more than 20 technologies, including microbial strains and commercial inoculants. She received more than 20 prizes, including the TWAS-Lenovo Science Award (2020). She is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.

Hung, PhD, is president for China Medical University and chancellor for China Medical University - Asia University System in Taichung, Taiwan. He was vice-president for basic research and professor and chair of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas. Hung is a basic scientist with a keen translational vision and especially his recent research effort has significantly contributed to understanding the biology of cancer and to developing combinational cancer therapies to overcome resistance. Up to date, Hung has published more than 600 peer-reviewed articles, of which over 160 were published in journals with impact factor 10 or above. His lifetime h-index reaches to 163 (Google Scholar). His research focuses on semi-arid climate change by combining observations, numerical modelling, and theoretical studies. Mahouton Norbert Hounkonnou is a full Professor of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin. His works deal with noncommutative and nonlinear mathematics, and complexity. He authors books. He serves as a member or associate editor of editorial boards for renowned book series and journals in mathematics and mathematical physics. He supervised 37 PhD and 40 M. Sc. students from various continents. He was awarded a series of recognitions for the excellency of his works such as the Prize of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) in 1996, the Tokyo University of Science President Award in 2015, and the 2016 World Academy of Sciences C. N. R. Rao Prize for Scientific Research "for his incisive work on noncommutative and nonlinear mathematics and his contributions to world-class mathematics education ";. He is the President of the Network of African Science Academies, former President of the Benin National Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. A prominent physical chemist and nanomaterial expert, Dr. HOU has made significant contributions in synthesis and characterization of nanomaterial and nanostructures, physical and chemical properties of single molecules and their assemblies, and scanning tunnel microscopy. He studied physics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) from 1978, completing his Bachelor degree in 1983 and then received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1986 and 1989, respectively. Hong is the head of (Hong Tao) Acadamician’s Lab, Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, China CDC; director, Inst. of Biology and Biotech., Beijing Jiaotong University; professor, Peking Union Medical College; and member, Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1995. His contributions include: 1) discovery of the Adult Diarrhoea Rotavirus (ADRV), which has been genetically characterized and classified to be the unique human group B rotavirus; 2) discovery of the morphology and identification of Hantavirus; and 3) pioneering study on Prion diseases in China. Holden earned his PhD in mathematics from the University of Oslo in 1985, and is Doctor honoris causa, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi. Holden is an elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (President 2014–16), the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences, the Academia Europaea, the European Academy of Sciences. He is Fellow of the American Mathematical Society and of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics too.

Le Tuân Hoa is a full professor of the Institute of Mathematics Hanoi (IMH), Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology. He graduated in Belorussia, obtained his PhD in 1990 at University of Halle, Germany and Doctor of Science in 1995 at the IMH. He joined IMH in 1981, where he served as a Deputy-Director from 1998 to May 2011, and director from 2013 to 2017. From June 2011 to October 2013 he was seconded to the Vietnam Institute of Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and took the position of Managing director there. He also served as the president of the Vietnam Mathematical Society (VMS) for the terms 2008 - 2013 and the president of the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS) for the terms 2012-2013. Since 2018, he is the chair of Section Mathematics of the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam. He is elected as an IMU/ CDC Member for the period 2023-2026. His research focuses on the complexity of algebraic objects. He has more than 60 publications.
