Biodata
Le Tuân Hoa is a full professor of the Institute of Mathematics Hanoi (IMH), Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology. He graduated in Belorussia, obtained his PhD in 1990 at University of Halle, Germany and Doctor of Science in 1995 at the IMH. He joined IMH in 1981, where he served as a Deputy-Director from 1998 to May 2011, and director from 2013 to 2017. From June 2011 to October 2013 he was seconded to the Vietnam Institute of Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and took the position of Managing director there. He also served as the president of the Vietnam Mathematical Society (VMS) for the terms 2008 - 2013 and the president of the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS) for the terms 2012-2013. Since 2018, he is the chair of Section Mathematics of the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam.
He is elected as an IMU/ CDC Member for the period 2023-2026.
His research focuses on the complexity of algebraic objects. He has more than 60 publications.
