TWAS will be among the international science institutions represented at an event held by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in partnership with other science institutes in Trieste, Italy. The event will celebrate the 2024 International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 6 February from 5–7 pm at Antico Caffè San Marco in Trieste.
The open event is an opportunity for the general public to come and meet some of the many women scientists who work in the institutions of the Trieste Science System. Researchers will be sitting at different tables and participants will be invited to have a chat with all of them, moving from one table to the next at the ring of a bell. TWAS will be represented by Public Information Officer Giovanni Ortolani.
