On 15 September, TWAS and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) launched a new fellowship programme for postgraduate and postdoctoral students: scholars from developing countries can pursue high-level research in life sciences, working in public and private universities of Türkiye and TÜBİTAK Research Centres and Institutes.
“We are more than glad that the first TÜBİTAK-TWAS call has been launched. I believe this call will just be the first step, and our cooperation will be carried more steps forward. We are looking forward to hosting researchers at universities or TÜBİTAK Research Centers and Institutes in Türkiye. TÜBİTAK’s funds will keep contributing science,” said TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal.
Candidates from science- and technology-lagging countries and women are encouraged to apply.
TWAS-TÜBİTAK Postgraduate Fellowship Programme has a duration between six and 12 months, and applicants must be not older than 35 on 31 December of the application year.
TWAS-TÜBİTAK Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme has a duration between six and 36 months, and applicants must be not older than 45 years on 31 December of the application year.
Both calls close on 15 November 2022. A list of the host institutions is available here.
