UCAS offers online training for application to ANSO-CAS scholarship

Through online sessions, applicants can improve their chances to be accepted to the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD scholarship in China

Students and scholars wishing to apply for an ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD scholarship can improve their application by participating in virtual training sessions that will be held from 15–20 December 2023. Participation will provide professional application guidelines, and information about scholarship programmes.

The meetings are organized by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), which is the main host university of the programme.

Sessions will be held on the following dates, Beijing Time (UTC+8):

  • Friday, December 15, 2023 21:00-22:00
  • Monday, December 18, 2023 17:00-19:00
  • Tuesday, December 19, 2023 16:00-18:00
  • Wednesday, December 20, 2023 15:00-17:00

About the scholarships

The ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD scholarships will select up to 50 students and scholars seeking to specialize in any of the natural sciences by pursuing a PhD degree in China for up to four years. Scholars from the Least Development Countries (LDCs) and women are particularly encouraged to apply. UCAS accepts international students through over 20 UCAS colleges and over 100 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Applications are due by 15 February 2024.
