The Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Award honours individuals or institutions that have enriched cultural and intellectual life in Egypt and globally. It recognizes achievements in fundamental or applied sciences, literature, arts, social sciences, or humanities. The award is given annually in a specific field determined by the Higher Committee of the Award.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, is located in Alexandria, Egypt. Since 2004, it manages the TWAS Arab Regional Partner (TWAS-AREP).
