14th TYAN International Symposium (TITO) on Security of Biodiversity, Climate, and Natural Resources in the Congo Basin

The event was held from 15-18 November 2023, in Yaoundé, Cameroon

The International Symposium on the Security of Biodiversity, Climate, and Natural Resources in the Congo Basin convened internationally renowned conservationists and leading scientists from Africa, Asia, and Europe. The event provided a dynamic platform for high-level dialogue and collaboration aimed at advancing the protection and sustainable management of biodiversity, climate systems, and natural resources in the region.

The event took place from 15-18 November 2023, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Participants included experts across all career stages—from early-career researchers to senior scientists—reflecting a strong commitment to fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional networking.

The symposium was organized by Prof. Tonjock Rosemary Kinge, a TYAN member from the Bamenda University of Science and Technology (BUST), in collaboration with the University of Bamenda (UBa), the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS), the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), the TWAS Young Affiliates Network (TYAN), and TWAS-SAREP (Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Partner of the World Academy of Sciences).
