Hegazy Mohamed El-Amir F.

Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Amir Fathy Hegazy, Department of Medicinal Plants Chemistry, National Research Centre. Dr. Hegazy specializes in natural product chemistry, biochemistry, and microbial transformation of natural compounds. He has extensive expertise in the identification and biological characterization of natural compounds isolated from medicinal plants and marine organisms using 1D and 2D NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) techniques. He has received several highly competitive postdoctoral fellowships, including those from JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) and AVH (Alexander von Humboldt), enabling him to gain international experience. Dr. Hegazy has published approximately 184 scientific articles in international journals with an H-index of 33. In 2021, he was seconded to work at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology – Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – as a supervisor of the Technical Office. In 2022, he took on the role of supervising the Regional Development Centers at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
